We could say that Rún Valdr runes are based or similar to Reiki. But that is only to a certain point. Unlike Reiki, Rún Valdr runes are not based on ancient Sanskrit or Tibetan teachings but on Norse runes. Rún Valdr system is complete by itself and does not rely on any other techniques nor do we need to know a lot about Reiki or similar teachings. Rún Valdr runes and Reiki are most similar when it comes to healing but Rún Valdr runes go beyond that.

Unlike Reiki, Rún Valdr runes can be used for magic as well, since they enable an easy and powerful way to charge different items and to create magical objects. Even though the system is based on Norse runes, several new, interestingly consistent in appearance, symbols are added. They look  very much alike, which indicates that they are part of a larger system.

Besides in appearance and application,  Rún Valdr system also differs from Reiki and Norse runes in the way it is used. There are no special moves and exact use of hand here. But this system does require more visualisation, which is by no means strenuous or hard to achieve. Furthermore, there are no different levels like in Reiki and so only one cosmic attunement is needed. It is possible that Rún Valdr will work even without an attunement but it is better to be thorough. During the use all symbols are linked to a sacral chakra rather than the top of the head and hands as in Reiki.

Symbols:

All symbols are red unless otherwise noted. We need to see each symbol in front of us (if we do not have one, we visualise it) and say its name three times. As we can notice, the symbols are made of lines and circles and not only lines like Norse runes. The circles are more passive and it is there that the energy is stored, while the lines show direction of energy movement. The placement and orientation of the circles and lines determine how each symbol works.
